Know MoreVilas Bhimabai Hanumantrao Madigeri has dedicated his life to public service, social welfare, and community development. His journey began in childhood as a Bal Swayamsevak, where he developed the values of discipline, patriotism, and selfless service. Trained through the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), he later entered public life through the Bharatiya Janata Party, steadily growing from a grassroots worker to a respected public representative through dedication and continuous service.
As the Founder and President of Shri Sai Chowk Mitra Mandal, Vilas Madigeri has led numerous social, cultural, and community initiatives for many years. Under his leadership, the organization regularly conducts Ganesh Utsav, Navratri celebrations, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Jayanti, Fort Making Competitions, Blood Donation Camps, Tree Plantation Drives, Go Seva, and felicitation programs for meritorious SSC and HSC students, encouraging both social responsibility and community participation.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led one of the region's most impactful relief initiatives by operating a community kitchen for 53 consecutive days, serving meals to nearly 1,000 people every day during the lockdown. His team also distributed masks and sanitizers, extended support to hospitals, and stood beside countless families during one of the most challenging periods in recent history. Believing that helping those in need is a duty rather than an obligation, he also personally participated in relief efforts for flood-affected villages and supported rehabilitation activities whenever communities faced difficult times.
With years of active public service, Vilas Madigeri has continued to work closely with citizens to address civic issues and promote development. The Madigeri family proudly represented Indrayani Nagar (Ward No. 8) in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation from 2007 to 2022. In 2019, he had the privilege of serving as the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, contributing to key administrative and developmental decisions.
Guided by the principles of transparency, accountability, and people-first governance, Vilas Madigeri continues to work with a clear vision of creating a cleaner, stronger, and more developed society. His journey reflects a lifelong commitment to public service, where leadership is measured not by position, but by the positive impact made in the lives of the people.
